3. Promote colleges and universities in the pilot areas to incorporate the knowledge of rehabilitation assistive devices into relevant professional teaching content.

三、Ministry of Science and Technology

4. Encourage pilot areas to increase R&D investment. Support all types of qualified R&D institutions in the pilot areas to undertake major scientific and technological projects such as major national science and technology projects and national key R&D plans through open competition, and promote the implementation of industrialization in the pilot areas.

5. Support pilot areas to create national, provincial and municipal innovation platforms. Encourage industry authorities and leading enterprises to set up R&D centers in pilot areas, and support pilot areas to actively apply for national, provincial or municipal science and technology innovation bases.

6. Encourage enterprises in pilot areas to declare high-tech enterprises and support the establishment of strategic alliances for industrial technology innovation.

7. Support the universities and research institutes in the pilot areas to carry out basic research and scientific frontier exploration in biomedical materials, bionics, robotics, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, rehabilitation medicine and other related fields.

8. Support the construction of specialized public service platforms for the industrial clusters of rehabilitation assistive devices and small and medium-sized enterprises in the pilot areas, and support eligible public service demonstration platforms for small and medium-sized enterprises above the provincial level.

11. Implement preferential tax policies to support the development of the rehabilitation assistive device industry.

12. To further strengthen the review and management of imported products purchased by the government, if the domestic rehabilitation assistive devices can meet the requirements, in principle, no imported products may be purchased.
