Macau’s aging index has risen for 22 consecutive years, reaching 90.3%, that is, about 5 adults raise an elderly person. It is inevitable that the physiology of the elderly will change in physical fitness, immunity and cognition due to physical aging, which will affect independence and Autonomy, and at the same time, the loss of the main source of income due to separation from the labor market after retirement, adds to the financial burden of the elderly to varying degrees. The extension of life expectancy brings both opportunities and challenges to the elderly and the society as a whole, deepening the impact of population aging.

In order to actively respond to the trend of population aging in Macau, and in response to the implementation of the Macau Special Administrative Region Government’s elderly policy, the 2021 Elderly Living Products and Assistive Products Exhibition organized by the Macau Association of Elderly Careers will be held on March 12-14, 2021 in Fisherman, Macau Held at the Pier Convention and Exhibition Center.

In the Macau station of this visit, the delegation participated in the opening ceremony and main forum of the 2019 Elderly Living Products and Assistive Products Exhibition.
