On June 8, 2023, the 7th China (Guangzhou) International Elderly Care and Health Industry Expo was held at the Guangzhou Civil Affairs Bureau as a work promotion conference (dedicated to each district's civil affairs bureau). Yi Lihua, the second level inspector of the Guangzhou Civil Affairs Bureau, Guan Jiejun, the director of the Elderly Care Service Department of the Guangzhou Civil Affairs Bureau, Deng Shixian, the director of the Guangzhou Family Economic Verification and Elderly Care Service Guidance Center, and He Lili, the deputy director, as well as the heads and operators of the 11 district civil affairs bureaus in the city, as well as Zheng Fu, the head of the EE Elderly Expo Executive Committee, attended the meeting to jointly promote the preparation work for the 7th Guangzhou Elderly Expo.

The meeting was chaired by Deng Shixian, Director of the Municipal Nuclear Maintenance Center, who first introduced the agenda and related arrangements for the meeting. He said: The 7th Guangzhou Old World Expo will be held in the Canton Fair Complex Exhibition Hall from August 25 to 27, 2023. The Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau attaches great importance to the preparation of this exhibition. In order to better promote the smooth development of the 2023 Guangzhou Old World Expo, this meeting is hereby convened

Yi Lihua, the second level inspector, made a speech and put forward three requirements: first, improve the ideological understanding and promote the development of the elderly care industry and the elderly care industry with Systems thinking. Second, strengthen the joint efforts to fully display the characteristics of the elderly care brand in Guangzhou with Home advantage. Thirdly, seize the opportunity tightly and use the platform of the Old World Expo to promote the implementation of the Nansha Plan.

Deputy Director He Lili introduced the work plan of the 7th Guangzhou Old World Expo, providing a detailed introduction to the exhibition area planning, exhibition range, concurrent activities, exhibition highlights, and other related aspects of the Expo.

Zheng Fu, the head of the Executive Committee of EE Old World Expo, introduced that the EE Old World Expo has been successfully held for six times since it was successfully held in 2017. Under the guidance of the municipal bureau leaders and the joint efforts of all sectors of society, the seventh Guangzhou Old World Expo has grown into the first professional exhibition of the elderly care industry in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area that has been certified by the International UFI (Global Exhibition Industry Association), and is an important exhibition window for Guangzhou to show the elderly care achievements of the big city.

The 7th Guangzhou Old World Expo in 2023 has made several major breakthroughs compared to the past:

1. The scale doubled, leading enterprises gathered, and international elements were strengthened. China Mobile, China Telecom, Yuexiu Group, Beautiful Home Group, Laibang Technology, Yongai Medical Care and other leading enterprises in the industry will make appearances at this year's Old World Expo. Hong Kong, Macau, Netherlands, Japan, United States, South Korea, and other Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan exhibition groups, as well as foreign exhibition groups, will also gather in the international exhibition area.

2. The Civil Affairs Bureau sent a letter inviting participants, and the organization of professional audiences has increased. The organizing committee of this year's Old World Expo will expand the range of professional audience invitations and specially invite high-quality buyer groups to participate. At present, invitations have been sent to nearly 100 civil affairs bureaus in cities and regions across the country, and some civil affairs bureaus have preliminarily decided to lead a team to visit and inspect. The organizing committee will carefully prepare the exhibition and visit reception plan according to the important instructions of the bureau leaders, and provide high-quality, thoughtful and efficient conference reception and business docking services for guests from all over the country.

3. High quality simultaneous activities, insight into trends, and grasp the future. During the Expo, a series of high-quality events will be held, including the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Elderly Care Industry Development Summit Forum, the Aging Adaptation Transformation, Medical and Nursing Integration, Elderly Care Talents, Living Elderly Care, Industrial Investment and Financing Summit, the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area "Silver Age Night" exchange activity, and the "Elderly Care Industry Leader" activity, to integrate talents and enlighten ideas, and explore the sustainable development path behind the elderly care industry.

Under the correct leadership of the bureau leaders and the strong support of all parties, the 7th Guangzhou Old World Expo will rely on the good industrial foundation and advantages of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, integrate the resources of the elderly care and health industry at home and abroad, and present a high-quality, high-level and effective elderly care and health industry event for the industry.
