On their way home, the couple sang the well-known phrase "husband and wife return home". Unexpectedly, the Jade Emperor decreed to break up the loving couple. Writing in blood, the seven nannys told Dong Yong, "I will hand in my son under the pagoda tree on the next spring day with flowers blossoming."
