In order to improve the living conditions of the elderly, all localities have explored the transformation suitable for aging. What improvements have been made in the home-based elderly care life of the elderly after the aging transformation? How to further improve the aging transformation? The reporter conducted an investigation and interview.

Community reconstruction, more convenient travel

Upgrade and transform the living environment, travel environment, health environment, service environment and social and cultural environment of respecting the elderly in the old community. "Sidewalks and lanes are separated, so travel is safe and convenient." Recently, the reporter came to the north gate of Shuangyushu Nanli No. 2 community, Beixiaguan street, Haidian District, Beijing. An old man walking by told the reporter. There are two entrances at the north gate of the community: the left entrance is a driveway for cars to enter and exit, and the right entrance is a sidewalk, separated by about 10 meters of green plants.

Walk along the orange sidewalk into the community from the right and see a small park with a square - Begonia Garden. Wooden benches are installed on both sides of the path and in the pavilion in the park. When the old man is tired from walking, he sits on it to rest. "This small garden was renovated last year, mainly to provide a place for leisure activities for the elderly in the community." Guo Congli, director of Beixiaguan street public activity center, said.

At the nd of the small park is the elderly care and disability management service center. Wooden handrails are installed at both gates of the center. In addition, wooden handrails are installed in front of the gate of each residential building in the community. "Wooden handrails will be more comfortable for the elderly. If they are metal handrails, they will be hot in summer and cold in winter." A community cadre introduced.

Red alarm posts are installed at conspicuous positions along the sidewalk of the community. According to community cadres, a total of 12 alarm posts have been installed in the community. Once an old man falls or has an accident, he can call the police at the first time, and the staff can come to the rescue in one minute.

"I am the beneficiary of the new elevator." Uncle Li, who is consulting the family hospital bed in the elderly care and disability management service center, said that at the end of July last year, an elevator was installed in his building. That night, he had a sudden cerebral hemorrhage and was rushed to the hospital. "I live on the fourth floor. If there had been no elevator before, they would have delayed the rescue if they carried me up the stairs."

There is a community health service station in the middle of the community. According to Guo Congli, the health service station is the dispatched agency of the community health service center. Usually, there will be medical staff on duty. The elderly can see minor diseases. If the elderly can't go out of the house, the medical staff will come to see the elderly. In addition to medical treatment, the health service station has also added day care, health guidance, psychological comfort and other elderly services.

"Before the transformation, the community was very dilapidated and the environment was chaotic. It looked uncomfortable, not to mention the elderly living in it." Uncle Li recalled that he had lived in the community for nearly 30 years and witnessed the community change from new to old, and then from old to new.

According to Guo Congli, in April last year, the government of Haidian District funded Nanli No. 2 community as the first pilot for aging adaptation of old communities in Beijing to upgrade and transform the living environment, travel environment, health environment, service environment and social and cultural environment for respecting the elderly, so as to facilitate the travel and life of the elderly.
