2026 Xi'an Silver Age Market

1. Activity Background:

To implement the decisions and arrangements of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the spirit of the "State Council Office's Opinions on Developing the Silver Economy and Enhancing the Well-being of the Elderly," actively address population aging, create a harmonious environment for elderly consumption, promote the Xi'an Elderly Expo, and innovate services to boost elderly consumption, the Xi'an Civil Affairs Bureau plans to organize the 2026 Xi'an Elderly Market Events (totaling 5 sessions) from January to October 2026. These events will be held in various settings such as industrial parks, community squares, large parks, and commercial districts, closely timed with traditional festivals like the Spring Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, and Mid-Autumn Festival. By hosting these events across different areas and venues in the city, the initiative aims to bring the elderly care, senior-friendly, and health products from the Xi'an Elderly Expo, along with public welfare services, directly to the elderly population year-round, creating new scenarios for civil affairs' elderly care benefits and stimulating silver economy consumption in Xi'an.

The first major event, "2026 Xi'an Spring Festival Senior Citizens' Bazaar," is scheduled to take place from January 29 to 31, 2026, at the Belt and Road Senior Economic Industrial Park (East Annex Building, North Square Station, Xi'an). The "2026 Xi'an Mid-Autumn Senior Citizens' Bazaar" is set for September 17-19, 2026, at Hall 2 of the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center, coinciding with the 4th Xi'an Senior Expo.

5. 2026 Xi'an New Year Silver Age Fair

1. Event dates: January 29-31, 2026 (Thursday to Saturday), 09:00-17:30

2. Event Location: Indoor first-floor exhibition area and corridors, as well as outdoor spaces at the East Annex Building of the North Square of Xi'an Station, "Belt and Road" Silver Economy Industrial Park.

3. Activity content:

The venue features a 500㎡ aging-friendly product experience zone, a senior health product exhibition and sales area, a premium New Year goods exhibition and sales section, a health consultation public service zone, and an elderly cultural performance activity area.

①Elderly-friendly Product Experience Zone (This zone is fully occupied)

Set up an elderly-friendly product experience zone, providing convenient services for attending elderly care institutions and seniors to experience and purchase through scenario-based demonstrations and explanations of age-appropriate products.

② Senior Health Products Exhibition and Sale

Set up a Silver Bell Health Products Exhibition and Sales Area to display and sell household care products, diapers, mugwort products, infant formula, oral health products, elderly care items, and nutritional health products.

③ Spring Festival Premium New Year Goods Exhibition and Sale

Set up a premium New Year goods exhibition and sales area, featuring a selection of high-quality products such as meat and oil, pastries, New Year's Eve dinners, persimmon cakes, cured beef, Pu'er tea, dried fruits, fresh produce, milk, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and New Year gift packages.

④ Public welfare areas such as health check-ups

Including intangible cultural heritage cultural and creative products, elderly calligraphy and painting, writing couplets and "Fu" characters, health free clinics, traditional Chinese medicine therapy, senior university consultations, policy lectures, anti-fraud publicity, etc.

⑤ Elderly cultural and artistic performance activities

Promote Xi'an's "Senior Grand Stage," accepting registrations, selections, and inquiries for the 9th Xi'an "Senior Grand Stage" in 2026. Invite organizations to perform multiple shows during the three-day grand event, offering a cultural and spiritual feast for the audience.
