Organised by the Macau Carers' Association and co-organised by the Street General, the "Happy Life, Walking Together" 2023 Elderly Living Products and Accessories Exhibition will be held at Fisherman's Wharf Convention and Exhibition Centre for three days from now. There will be nearly 80 booths in six exhibition areas, including the health and Food area, the Aged Care Information and Elderly Services area, the living products area, the AIDS area, the comprehensive area and the newly established Treatment and Treatment Area. The aim is to promote the community's concern for the needs of carers and to deepen the awareness of supplies and AIDS, relieve the pressure on carers and promote the concept of healthy and happy life for the elderly.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was held at 3pm today at the Fisherman's Wharf Convention and Exhibition Centre. Ms Anne Lam, president of the Macau Carers Association, said that with the ageing of the society, the age of carers has also increased correspondingly. The average age of the association's carers is between 5 and 60 years old. Considering that caring for the elderly, especially those with dementia, is not an easy task and people may resist it, it is hoped that the exhibition will not only promote the community's concern for the needs of carers, but also promote the concept of "care for all", in which children and young people can become carers to help the elderly enjoy a healthy old age.
The exhibition will be held daily from 10 am to 8 PM at the Fisherman's Wharf Convention and Exhibition Centre from today to 12. Apart from the exhibition area, there will also be a forum, "Aged Simulation Experience", vanilla sachet workshop and other activities and experiences to promote the concept of healthy and happy life for the elderly.
