Recently, the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Civil Affairs held a special meeting in Xi'an for the preparation of the 2023 Xi'an Old World Expo, summarizing the current progress of the exhibition preparation and arranging key work tasks for the next stage of exhibition organization. At the meeting, the Xi'an Civil Affairs Bureau and various departments and other main organizers reported on the preparations for the investment and exhibition promotion, forum activities, and other aspects of the Old Expo. Director Ge listened to the progress report and provided important instructions for the subsequent work.

Since the establishment of the exhibition project, in order to accelerate the improvement of the exhibition preparation mechanism and strengthen overall coordination, the provincial department has led the establishment of the Department Senior Expo Preparation Working Group, established a "weekly summary" working mechanism, regularly held special meetings for exhibition preparation, grasped the progress of relevant units, supervised the implementation of tasks, and ensured the steady progress of various exhibition preparation work.

The 2023 Xi'an Elderly Expo is scheduled to be held from September 15th to 17th, 2023 at Hall 1 of the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center (Chanba), with an exhibition area of 20000 square meters. The theme is "Taking care of Chang'an at the Starting Point of the Silk Road", and in the form of "One Exhibition, One Exhibition". The exhibition includes government and urban cluster exhibition areas, elderly care service product exhibition areas, new formats of elderly care services exhibition areas, aging friendly home and smart elderly care exhibition areas, health care tourism and elderly culture exhibition areas The medical and health management exhibition area, elderly product supplies, rehabilitation aids exhibition area, and science education and experience exhibition area are eight major exhibition areas, creating the largest and most influential professional elderly care exhibition on the Silk Road in the northwest region.
