From December 16 to 17, the second China International Forum on elderly health was held in Zhuhai. The forum focused on the theme of "positive outlook on aging, healthy aging and happy elderly", and built a platform for multi-national and multi-disciplinary exchanges and cooperation in the field of elderly health.

Chen Zhu, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, chairman of the Central Committee of the agricultural labor party and academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering, sent a congratulatory letter to the conference. Li Jinhua, vice chairman of the 11th CPPCC National Committee and President of China Population Welfare Foundation, attended the forum and delivered a speech. Wang Jianjun, member of the Party group of the National Health Commission, executive deputy director of the national Aging office and President of China Aging Association, Duan Yufei, director of Guangdong Provincial Health Commission, and Yao Yisheng, deputy secretary of Zhuhai municipal Party committee and mayor, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches respectively.

Li Jinhua pointed out that during the "14th five year plan" period, China's elderly population will exceed 300 million, moving from mild aging to moderate aging. How to deal with this trend and do a good job in elderly health is not only a population problem faced by many countries in the world, but also related to China's basic national conditions in the 21st century. Under the guidance of the national Aging office and the China geriatric health care Medical Research Association, Zhuhai geriatric chronic disease medical support medical association has begun to take shape after two years of development. It is believed that with the continuous deepening of the forum, the two business cards of "the most suitable city for the elderly" and "healthy city" in Zhuhai will become brighter and brighter. It is hoped that Zhuhai, while polishing its city card, can better share its experience and experience in providing for the aged with other parts of the country, so as to make due contributions to the full implementation of the "positive concept of aging, healthy aging and happy elderly".

Wang Jianjun stressed that local health committees and aging offices should, in accordance with the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, incorporate the active response to population aging into the overall layout, and consciously be the disseminator and practitioner of the national strategy to deal with population aging. Focus on prevention, pay attention to the grass-roots level, take innovation as the driving force, integrate traditional Chinese and Western medicine, and integrate health into all policies. In the research on aging, we can focus on the relationship between aging and the whole life cycle, and the relationship between aging policies and national policies, and independently become the promoter and implementer of the national strategy to actively promote population aging, so as to truly prevent diseases, slow down diseases and fight aging.

Zhong Nanshan, academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering, famous respiratory disease expert and winner of the "Medal of the Republic", also sent a video speech to the forum. He proposed to implement the prevention based health management concept of "no disease, less disease and minor disease" for the elderly, and make use of the advantages of Dawan district's medical policies to implement, promote and apply more new technologies, ideas and achievements, So that the elderly in the bay area can enjoy the most advanced medical technology and realize health and longevity.

Duan Yufei said in his speech that in recent years, Guangdong Province has issued an implementation plan to improve the elderly health service system, explored and innovated the working mechanism of the combination of medical care and health care, and gradually built an elderly health service system integrating "health education, prevention and health care, disease diagnosis and treatment, health care, long-term care and hospice care", which comprehensively and continuously covers urban and rural areas. The sense of acquisition, happiness and security of the elderly in the province has been continuously improved, and the social atmosphere of filial piety and respect for the elderly has become stronger. Lay a solid foundation for actively responding to population aging and realizing the goal of healthy aging.

On behalf of Zhuhai municipal government, Yao Yisheng thanked the academicians for coming to Zhuhai this time to make suggestions for "building a high-end geriatric center in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao and innovating the geriatric health service model in the bay area" from the perspective of industry, learning and research enabling the construction of the bay area. He said that as one of the "happiest cities in China", Zhuhai attaches importance to the cause of elderly health. It was the first in the province to realize the free transportation for the elderly over the age of 60, and issue the allowance for the elderly over the age of 80 according to the highest standard in the Province. And accelerate the construction of public elderly care institutions, create a 15 minute home-based elderly care service circle, innovate and explore the combination of elderly care and chronic disease medical care, promote the construction of a consortium of elderly chronic disease hospitals led by government departments, and accelerate the construction of "qinao new neighborhood" integrating elderly care, residence, education and medical care in Hengqin. We will explore and work with Macao to do a good job in supporting the construction of people's livelihood such as elderly care, promote the construction of home-based community elderly care service facilities, and strive to make more elderly people "have a sense of security, happiness and medicine".

At this forum, more than 10 academicians, including Chen Zhu, Zhong Nanshan, Zhang Boli, Dong Jiahong and Ning Guang, enabled the construction of the bay area, and discussed with more than 80 experts and scholars to promote the industrial, academic and R & D exhibition in the field of geriatric health in the bay area through online and offline multi-dimensional and multi forms around "building a high-end geriatric medical center in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao and innovating the geriatric health service model in the bay area".

The forum was guided by the national office on aging, jointly sponsored by China geriatric health care medical research association and Zhuhai Municipal People's government, supported by Guangdong Provincial Health Commission and undertaken by Zhuhai People's hospital medical group.
