The 9th Guangdong Senior Care Service Summit Forum and the 7th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Senior Care Industry Practical Forum sponsored by Guangdong Senior Care Service Industry Association and supported by the Executive Committee of China International Senior Care Industry Expo were successfully held in Guangzhou!

 

On March 20, the 9th Guangdong Senior Care Service Summit Forum and the 7th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Senior Care Industry Practical Forum was held in Guangzhou, which is the first brand industry forum in the field of senior care in China in 2024. The Guangdong Senior Care Service Summit Forum has been held for nine consecutive years, integrating policy guidance, academic theory, empirical research and business practice, attracting nearly 8,000 professionals to attend, covering the whole industrial chain of senior care services, senior care products, senior care institutions, senior care real estate and senior care finance. As well as government agencies, social groups, scientific research colleges, medical rehabilitation institutions and other units totaling more than 2,500, has become one of the most influential large-scale communication platforms in China's pension industry.

 

Yang Bo, president of the Guangdong Pension Service Industry Association, said in his speech that 2024 is a key year for the full implementation of the Party's 20 spirit, and for the aging industry, it is also known as the "first year of the silver economy" by the media. According to the report on the development of China's aging industry, the current size of China's silver economy is about 7 trillion yuan, and it is expected to reach 30 trillion yuan in 2035. Accelerating the scale, standardization, clustering and branding of the silver economy not only injects new momentum into economic and social development, but also provides a broad space for the development of the elderly care industry and the elderly care service industry.

 

Cheng Hongling, second-level researcher of the Senior Service Department of Guangdong Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, made a policy interpretation on the current development of the senior service industry, analyzed the opportunities and challenges existing in the development of the senior service industry and industry in our province, and put forward the next focus of work.

 

How to understand the silver economy, and what new trends and understandings are behind the No. 1 document of The State Council? Dang Junwu, deputy director of the China Scientific Research Center for Aging, said in his keynote speech that the silver economy, the aging economy and the aging industry are inseparable, and the basic problems of "what to do", "how to do it" and "for whom to do it" need to be clarified. In essence, silver economy is not material-based economy, but people-oriented economy. He believes that the silver economy is a longevity economy, will subvert the first, second and third industries, is the consumer chassis of new quality productivity, will trigger a new round of industrial revolution. We must start from the health and longevity of all the people, achieve meaningful life needs, and solve the problems of the people through the world, in order to achieve industrial development and win the strategic commanding heights of the new game field.

 

China's long term insurance system has been expanded to 49 cities across the country since the pilot program was launched in 2016. The government Work Report for 2024 clearly proposes to "promote the establishment of a long-term care insurance system." Shen Shuguang, professor of Lingnan College and School of Government Affairs of Sun Yat-sen University, said in his keynote speech that it is necessary to accelerate the development of long-term care insurance with the goal of "elderly care". To this end, he proposed to build an independent long-term care insurance system, follow the principle of social mutual assistance and multi-channel financing, accelerate the development of the evaluation standard system, improve the treatment payment system, synchronously develop institutional pension, community care and family care, support the participation of commercial insurance, improve the convergence of policies related to the elderly, pay attention to cultivating the foundation of the old-age care industry and other suggestions.

 

In the era of silver economy, faced with the emerging new needs of the elderly, how do elderly care institutions take advantage of the trend to improve the breakthrough? He Hongtao, executive chairman of Guangdong Elderly Care Service Association, founder and general manager of Yuexiu Yinxing, shared the experience of institutional innovation in the "three new and one joint" model, creating a health center, a living platform and a sophisticated dementia care system, especially the use of AI to empower smart elderly care and other fields.

 

Ma Hongbo, technical director of the health Division of Youbi Science and Technology, said when explaining how smart health can use science and technology to empower the silver economy, smart health is boosting the silver economy to achieve leapfrog development, providing the elderly with more systematic, digital and personalized high-quality services through smart health solutions that enable a variety of application scenarios with people's livelihood science and technology.

 

Education for the elderly will be a new blue ocean in the future elderly care service industry. Liu Wenqing, president and deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangdong Open University (Guangdong Polytechnic Vocational College), introduced the exploration road of Guangdong University for the Elderly in the past five years since its establishment to innovate and create a "mixed and diversified, combining learning and nurturing, and wisdom to help the elderly" education model. She also proposed to expand the supply of education policies for the elderly, accelerate the implementation of the Guangdong branch of the National University for the Elderly, establish a project to improve the quality of education for the elderly, construct the digital ecology of education for the elderly, strengthen scientific research on education for the elderly, and strengthen international cooperation in education for the elderly.

 

The opening of the forum was presided over by Lin Danchun, Secretary-General of the Guangdong Elderly Service Industry Association, and Dr. Wu Danxing, member of the Expert Committee of the Elderly Service Industry of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, was specially invited to chair and comment on the development trend of elderly service industry and the topic dialogue session.

 

In the thematic link of diversified elderly care services and high-quality development, Chinese and foreign entrepreneurs for elderly care shared their practical achievements in their respective fields.

 

Nakanishi Yang Hua, the legal representative of Jinjia Co., LTD., introduced the implementation of self-care rehabilitation in Japan and the practical experience of landing in Beijing, Guangzhou and other places in China. Guo Li, deputy general manager of Deep High Speed Deep High Health Services Co., LTD., provided the exploration answer paper of state-owned health care enterprises in the development of young elderly health tourism consumption services in the field of new consumption scenarios. Hao Yong, strategic development consultant of Shanghai Fuyuan Health Care Management Co., LTD., shared the successful experience of developing community embedded elderly care services in Shanghai, implementing district management and batch hosting through the "big with small" mode. Tong Lifang, head nurse of Qingjia Elderly Nursing Center of Zhongyi Hospital, introduced the practical results of the "combination of medical care and nursing" mode in the past 15 years since the establishment of the first large public hospital in China.

 

Guangdong elderly care enterprises deeply cultivate local resources, continuously highlight in elderly care services, and create unique Bay area characteristics. Liu Chen, founder and chairman of Yongmei Pension Industry Group, introduced how to combine the elderly dining hall and the dining hall for the people, and explore the path of sustainable development of community and home care services. Pan Qiye, Secretary of the Party Committee of Lidong Community, Dali Town, Nanhai District, Foshan City, shared the experience of gathering the strength of villagers and promoting all walks of life to jointly help the elderly and successfully build a "Lidong sample". Liang Quanbiao, general manager of Jiangmen Yinye Elderly Care Planning Service Co., LTD., described the effective exploration of developing community home care services relying on institutions in third - and fourth-tier cities and creating a non-walled nursing home.

 

In the final thematic session, Dr. Wu Danxing, member of the Senior Care Service Expert Committee of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and Rong CAI Meibi, founder and Chairman of Golden Age Foundation, Wang Li, Chairman of Yinian Health Industry Group Co., LTD., Sun Jiajun, General manager of Taikang Home Yueyuan Community, and Wang Lili, Chairman and general manager of Poly (Guangzhou) Health Industry Investment Co., LTD., had a brainpower meeting around the Greater Bay Area cross-border elderly care. To analyse the needs of the elderly in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, share the practical experience of elderly care enterprises with different backgrounds, study and judge the development trend of cross-border elderly care, and call on the governments of the three places to accelerate the introduction of relevant policies to benefit more elderly groups.

 

The forum also invited Li Enhua, vice president of Guangdong Pension Service Industry Association, general manager of Guangzhou Leian Decoration Design Co., LTD., Du Weihong, general manager of Smart pension division of Guangzhou Angbao Electronics Co., LTD., and Wang Jianhui, general manager of Jiuru City Guangzhou Company, to preside over the theme of diversified pension services and high-quality development, and the theme of highlights of pension services in the Greater Bay Area.

 

The one-day forum had a warm atmosphere, repeated climaxes, continuous applause, candid sharing of insights by the speakers on the stage, and active interaction among the audience.
