In order to actively deploy and accelerate the preparation for the 8th Guangzhou International Elderly Care and Health Industry Expo, the working group of the Organizing committee of the Guangzhou Old Age Expo went to Beijing from May 20 to 23 to visit the China Association on Aging, China Scientific Research Center on Aging, China News Agency for the Elderly, CCTV and other units for exchange and cooperation.

The working group visited the China Association on Aging and was warmly received by Xiao Caiwei, member of the Party Group of the Office of the National Working Committee on Aging and vice president of the China Association on Aging. Vice President Xiao Caiwei said that the China Aging Association will continue to strongly support the old Expo project.

The working group visited China Scientific Research Center on Aging to have a discussion and exchange on the organization of the Expo Forum. Dang Junwu, deputy director of the China Scientific Research Center on Aging, warmly welcomed the arrival of the working group, and said that the China Scientific Research Center on Aging will provide important support in the future in the implementation of the boost health care project.

The working group visited China Newspaper for the Elderly and had a discussion with Xu Hua, Party Secretary and President of the newspaper, and Xu Huaihao, Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper. As the chief strategic cooperation unit of the eighth Old Expo, China News Agency for the Elderly intends to force the official media resources of China Old Daily to provide all-round publicity support for the Guangzhou Old Expo.

The working group visited CCTV, accompanied by Wang Hengsheng, director of the Innovation and Development Center of TV Station, Wang Tao, chief planner of the Aging Channel, Yang Yan, producer of "Fengyun Meeting Room", and Jin Long, director of production, to visit, and to discuss and exchange ideas on jointly holding forums, elderly performing arts competitions and Silver age fairs during the Expo. Director Wang Hengsheng said that during the old Expo, a strong planning, hosting and editing team will be sent to participate in on-site activities, and the use of CCTV's all-media matrix to provide a full range of publicity reports for the old Expo.

During the stay in Beijing, the organizing committee also visited China Senior Care Health Group, Zhongjian Yunhui Health Management Group Co., LTD., China Aging Industry Association Livable Health Professional Committee and other units for exchanges. As well as attending the opening ceremony of the 10th China International Elderly Care Service Expo, watching and learning, visiting the theme exhibition areas such as smart elderly care, sojourn and health care, and aging, and having in-depth exchanges with exhibitors. A number of enterprises signed to participate in the exhibition.

The 8th Guangzhou International Elderly Care and Health Industry Expo will be grandfully launched in the Canton Fair Exhibition Hall B area from August 23 to 25, 2024, with an exhibition area of 50,000 square meters. It will set up 5 pavilions and 8 exhibition areas, and the exhibits will cover the whole industrial chain of silver economy, including "food, clothing, housing, transportation, medicine, health, health care and protection". It is expected to attract more than 1000 exhibitors. More than 100,000 visitors, the exhibition opening ceremony and 30+ activity forum will be held at the same time, inviting well-known experts and scholars at home and abroad, representatives of industry leaders, etc. to discuss development countermeasures on hot topics such as silver economy.
