The Hubei Rehabilitation Assistive Equipment Technology Center (formerly known as Hubei Province Artificial Limb Factory) was founded in 1951. It is a public welfare first-class institution under the supervision of the Hubei Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, mainly responsible for organizing the research and development, configuration, and promotion of rehabilitation assistive devices for disabled people. It carries out knowledge promotion, product display, and technical guidance for the adaptation of rehabilitation assistive devices, provides rehabilitation assistive devices for honored disabled soldiers, elderly people, and socially disabled people, and conducts rehabilitation therapy and training.

The center is an executive director unit of the China Association of Rehabilitation Assistive Devices, a national research and development base for prosthetic standard parts, a judicial appraisal institution for assistive devices for people with disabilities, a designated unit for work-related injury medical insurance in various cities and prefectures in Hubei Province, and the first rehabilitation assistive device industry in China to pass the ISO9001:2000 quality management system ISO14001： 2004 Environmental Management System, GB/T28001-2001 Occupational Health and Safety System Trinity Certification Unit.

The center has strong technical strength, with 17 professional and technical personnel in medical, engineering, economics, and other fields, as well as 29 professional technicians. Among them, 4 have obtained the practicing qualification certificate for prosthetic and orthotic device manufacturers in the People's Republic of China.

The equipment is advanced and complete, including a static laser alignment device for prostheses, a full contact load-bearing hydraulic shaping system for lower limb prostheses, a computer-aided design and manufacturing system for orthopedic insoles, a 3D scanning computer-aided design and manufacturing system for prostheses, SLS and SLM industrial grade 3D printers, a five axis vertical machining center, a turning milling composite machining center, a CNC machining center, a complete set of specialized equipment for polyurethane prostheses and carbon fiber energy storage prostheses, as well as advanced prostheses and 3D design software such as Rodin4D, Rodin4D Cube, Magics, and Freeform.

We can design, manufacture, and assemble imported and domestic high-end, mid-range, and low-end prosthetics, hearing aids, various orthotics, orthopedic shoes, hand cranked (electric) tricycles, nursing beds, wheelchairs, crutches, artificial eyes, ears, stomach supports, neck supports, waist belts, and other rehabilitation aids, which can better meet the rehabilitation service needs of disabled people, the elderly, and injured patients.
