On the afternoon of April 8th, the "Central Silver Hair Economic Cooperation and Exchange and Industry Link Conference" was successfully held at the Hubei Rehabilitation Assistive Equipment Technology Center. The meeting was chaired by Hong Wenchao, Director of the Executive Committee of China International Elderly Care Industry Expo and Executive Director of Guangdong Yinling Industry Research Institute.

Liu Hui, a second level inspector from the Department of Civil Affairs of Hubei Province, attended the conference and delivered a speech. He pointed out that by the end of 2024, the elderly population aged 60 and above in Hubei Province will reach 14.44 million, accounting for 24.75% of the total population in the province, and the aging process will continue to accelerate. Faced with the new situation, Hubei is striving to build a benchmark for smart elderly care and a highland for innovation in the silver haired economy through measures such as improving policy mechanisms, deepening technological empowerment, and promoting regional coordination. He emphasized that the silver economy is a "win-win ecology", and the central region urgently needs to activate new driving forces of the silver economy through coordinated development.

Zhang Liqun, President of the Hubei Aging Industry Association, called on the industry to deepen cooperation, break down administrative barriers, jointly build and share resource platforms, and promote the deep integration of medical, elderly care, technology and other industrial chains in her speech.
