On May 8th, the 2026 Guangzhou Silver Age Art Season, Guangdong Huaxing Bank Honor Ceremony, and the draw ceremony for the semi-finals of the Guangzhou division were successfully held. A total of 547 teams from the three major categories of vocal music, dance, and comprehensive language, opera, and instrumental music completed the on-site drawing; The registration for the fashion show and cultural and sports events is still hot, and the lottery will start on May 16th.

The 2026 Guangzhou Silver Age Art Season is advocated by Guangzhou University of the Elderly, jointly organized by Guangzhou Daily Press Group (Guangzhou Daily), China (Guangzhou) International Elderly Health Industry Expo, Guangzhou Yuewei Silver Hair Vitality Research Institute, and exclusively named by Guangdong Huaxing Bank. As of now, the total number of registered teams for this art season has reached 675, with explosive popularity in various categories: 176 for vocal music, 230 for dance, 141 for instrumental language recitation and comprehensive opera, 114 for runway shows, and 14 for cultural and sports.

In addition, the Visual Arts Bay Area Invitational officially kicked off on May 7th! Open to art enthusiasts aged 50 and above from 11 cities in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, individuals and teams can register to participate.

This art season has been comprehensively upgraded, expanding from four categories to six tracks, with richer content and more three-dimensional displays; 11 cities in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area will start simultaneously, with the stage extending from Guangzhou to the entire Greater Bay Area, with multi-point linkage and layer by layer advancement.

Contestants not only have the opportunity to compete for the highest prize of 10000 yuan, but also have the chance to be invited to participate in the Bay Area tour and showcase their silver age style on a larger stage!

Recent competition schedule (tentative)

May 8th: Contestants in vocal, dance, language, opera, and instrumental music categories will draw lots;

May 16th: Draw lots for fashion show and cultural and sports participants;

May 19th: Launch ceremony of the 2026 Guangzhou Silver Age Art Season;

May 19-23: Vocal semi-finals;

Late May to mid June: Other categories semi-finals, during which a dedicated person will notify participants of the competition details.
