Background introduction:

Wuhan is a typical city that is not rich and old. By the end of 2017, 1,78,500 elderly people over 60 years old in Wuhan, accounting for 20.95% of the total population, far higher than the national level, especially higher than similar cities in Guangzhou, Nanjing, Hangzhou, etc., and the annual aging population will increase by 10 About 10,000. At the end of 2017, Wuhan City has built 583 community home care service centers that effectively cover the central and new urban areas, 170 rural elderly care centers, and the city's old-age care institutions are increasing at a rate of dozens per year. At the same time, the enterprises that provide services around the old age are constantly developing and expanding, and the first batch of 100 elderly livable communities have reached the target. In 2018, the second batch of 300 elderly livable communities have basically completed the acceptance.

In order to promote the healthy development of the old-age care industry in Wuhan, especially the serious imbalance between the supply and demand of old-age care, and at the same time take into account the new situation of the growing size of homes, streets, and community home-based care centers, the diversified needs of the broad masses of the people, and the continuous improvement of physical and mental requirements. To promote further accurate reform and release of the pension policy, the current home-based pension center in Wuhan will be used as a carrier to carry out reforms on the supply side and the demand side. At the same time, it will be closer to the level of old-age care services in developed countries, and the first 2019 Wuhan (International) Home Pension Summit will be held.
